The Southern Connecticut State University men's basketball team will finish up their three-game road trip and travel to The College of Saint Rose in Albany, N.Y. for a Northeast 10 Conference matchup on Tuesday, Dec. 10 at 7:30 p.m. Then they will return home on Saturday, Dec. 14 to take on University of the Sciences in a non-conference matchup.

All-Time Against The College Of Saint Rose: 18-23
The Last Time They Met: Southern swept the season series from the Golden Knights last season, winning in Albany, N.Y. on Nov. 14, 87-64, then winning 98-81 at James Moore Field House on Feb. 9. In the first meeting between the two teams, C.J. Seaforth (Hamden, Conn.) registered a game-high 22 points on 7-11 shooting and Luke Beesley (Champaign, Ill.) added a double-double. On Feb. 9, Taurus Adams II (Milwaukee, Wisc.) scored 25 points and Joey Wallace (Rochester, N.Y. ) scored a career high 22 points, while Kealen Ives (Providence, R.I.) tallied a double-double with 12 points and 10 assists.
 
All-Time Against University of the Sciences: 2-3
The Last Time They Met: Southern and USciences matched up twice last season During the Bridgeport Crossover Challenge,  the Devils won 69-67. Isaiah McLeod (Cambridge, Mass.) scored 19 points, while Ulyen Coleman (Brockton, Mass.) added 14 points and went 4-5 from beyond the arc. On Nov. 20, Ives scored a game-high 15 points and Beesley and Zack Penn (West Hartford, Conn.) recorded double-doubles, but USciences won 67-62. 

Last Time Out
  • Southern fell to Le Moyne College on Dec. 7.
  • Adams II scored team-high 18 points and grabbed five rebounds against Le Moyne.
  • Lyron Bennett (Boston, Mass.) scored 17 points and grabbed eight rebounds.
  • Seaforth added 11 points on 5-8 shooting in just 19 minutes of action
  • Zack Penn (New Hartford, Conn.)scored a season-high eight points and brought down nine rebounds.  

Player Notes
  • Adams II shot 54.5 percent from the field last week against New Haven and Le Moyne, and averaged 21.5 points per game and 8.5 rebounds per game. He recorded his seventh career double-double and his fourth of the season against New Haven with 25 points and 11 rebounds.
  • Bennett is averaging 16.3 points per game and 5.8 rebounds per game over his last four games. He is also shooting 48.9 percent from the field and 6-10 from beyond the arc and has made 11 of his 12 free throw attempts. 
  • Khalil Richard (Baltimore, Md.) has scored in double-figures in points in five of his last six games.
  • Among players that have made at least 2.5 per game and played in 75 percent of their teams' games, Seaforth ranks 16th nationally in three-point field goals made per game at 3.71, 17th nationally in three-point field goal percentage at 51 percent, and is seventh nationally in free throw percentage at 95.2 percent, going 20-21 from the line. 
  • Adams II received his second NE10 Conference Honor Roll selection for his performances last week against New Haven and Le Moyne.

Team Notes
  • Southern has made 50 of their last 59 free throw attempts dating back to their game on Nov. 23 against Concordia. 
  • The Owls rank eighth nationally in free throw percentage at 81.5 percent.
