The No. 5 seeded Southern Connecticut of the Southwest Division will head to the No. 4 seeded Merrimack College Warriors of the Northeast Division in the First Round Northeast 10 Conference Tournament on Friday, March 1 at 7 p.m. at Hammel Court in North Andover, Mass.

All-Time In The NE10 Tournament
• Southern is 16-13 all-time in the Northeast 10 Conference Championship Tournament. 
• The Owls have won two NE10 Championships - in 2005-06 and in 2006-07- and finished as runner-ups in 2012 to Bentley.
• Southern enters Friday night's matchup at Merrimack with a three-game winning streak in the NE10 Championship First Round having advanced to the NE10 Quarterfinals in each of the last three years. 
• This is the second postseason meeting against Merrimack, all-time. The Owls won the previous matchup, 68-54 in 2002-03. 


All-Time Against Merrimack
• The Owls lead the all-time series with the Warriors, 15-8.
• Southern won the previous meeting between the two teams, 70-69, on Jan. 9 in New Haven. 

Last Time Out
•  Southern Connecticut defeated Pace, 82-78 in overtime on Feb. 23 to clinch a berth in the NE10.
• 
Kiana Steinauer collected her NCAA Division II and conference-leading 23rddouble-double of the year eclipsing a career-high in points with 34. Her previous career-high was set against Concordia on Dec. 19, 2018 when she had 33.
• With 34 points, Steinauer has hit 500-plus points this season, tying Julie Dale's 1988-89 single-season record of 513, which is seventh all-time in SCSU history. Steinauer is the only person in NE10 and SCSU history to collect 400-plus points and 400-plus rebounds in a single season. 
• With four steals, Steinauer moved into first place in the NE10 in season steals with 84, while becoming tied for fourth with Anabel Perdomo's 2004-05 single season steals record. 
Erin Ryder (Congers, N.Y.) chipped in 11 points, shooting a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc.    
• The Owls had three players in double-digit points led by Steinauer who had 34, Wheeler who had 23 and Ryder who had 11.

Kiana Steinauer notched her conference leading 12th double-double of the season with 19 points and 20 rebounds. She has collected double-digit boards in all 15 of the Owls games this season and at least 15 rebounds in 7-of-14 games. She also tied a career-high in assists with five and in steals with five.
• With her 12 points, 
Bridget Sharnick topped a career-high in points.
• With her 16 points in the win, 
Amanda Pfohl recorded double-digit points in 13 of the Owls 15 games this season.
• 
Allie Smith had collected double-digit points in five of the last six games.
• For the seventh-straight game, the Owls had three-or-more players' score in double-digits: Steinauer (19), Pfohl (16), Sharnick (12) and Smith (10).
