Southern Connecticut was undefeated against two conference opponents last week, defeating Assumption, 73-63, and Saint Michael's. 71-68.The Owls will face crosstown rival, University of New Haven on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 7:30 p.m. at Charger Gymnasium in West Haven, Conn. The Owls will then host the College of Saint Rose on Saturday, Feb. 9 at 3:30 p.m. at Moore Field House, New Haven, Conn.

ALL-TIME VS. NEW HAVEN
The Chargers lead the all-time series against the Owls, 45-42. The Owls dropped their previous meeting against the Chargers earlier this year, 85-82, on Nov. 28, 2018.

ALL-TIME VS. SAINT ROSE
The Golden Knights lead the all-time series against the Owls, 23-17. Southern won its earlier matchup against the Golden Knights, 87-64, on Nov. 13, 2018.

THE OWLS' LAST TIME OUT
• The Southern Connecticut State University men's basketball squad took a 71-68 victory over Saint Michael's College at the Ross Sports Center.
• Isaiah McLeod (Cambridge, Mass.) tallied 28 points after converting on 11-of-18 from the floor including six three-pointers. He also collected five rebounds and two assists. 
• Kealen Ives (Providence, R.I.) recorded his third double-double of the year with 15 points and 11 assists, while also grabbing four rebounds in the win. 
• C.J. Seaforth (Hamden, Conn.) scored 15 points and is now averaging 21 points per game over his last five outings. 

THE OWLS BY THE NUMBERS
 •  Senior Luke Beesley is second in the NE10 and ranks 25th nationally with eight double-doubles to date.
 •  Beesley also ranks 37th nationally and leads the NE10 with 9.1 rebounds per game. His 181 total rebounds rank third in the NE10 and 38th nationally.
 •  Kealen Ives' 6.3 assists per game rank third in the NE10 and 13th in NCAA Division II basketball. His 139 total assists also rank second in the NE10 and ninth nationally.
 •  Isaiah McLeod ranks second in the NE10 and 15th nationally at 22.4 points per game. McLeod is second in the NE10 in three-point field goal percentage (47.7%) while also ranking 8th nationally.
 •  As a team, the Owls' 226 three-pointers rank third in the conference and 24th among all DII schools while their 41.6% from three-point range leads the NE10 and ranks fifth nationally. 

IVES HAS A NIGHT

• Kealen Ives registered his third double-double of the year in the Owls win at Saint Michael's on Feb. 3.
• His last double-double was on January 23, 2019 against Franklin Pierce when he had 18 points and 10 assists.

MAKING HISTORY
• The Owls' 24-for-24 showing at the free throw line against Bentley on Jan. 26 gave SCSU its most free throws without a miss in a game in program history.
• It is also the second time that SCSU shot 20-or-more free throws in a game without a miss and the first time since the Owls were 20-for-20 at the charity stripe against Pace on Nov. 25, 2014.

CAREER NIGHT FOR THE OWLS
• On Jan. 26, the Owls posted an upset with a 100-88 win against nationally-ranked No. 24 Bentley behind a trio of career-best performances. 
• Isaiah McLeod collected a career-high 33 points in the Owls' win against No. 24 Bentley. His previous high came on Jan. 20, 2018 against Bentley when he had 32.
• Kealen Ives notched a career-high of 29 points. His previous high came on Jan. 15 against Saint Anselm when he had 27.
•  C.J. Seaforth (Hamden, Conn.) collected 22 points, five assists and a career-high four steals.
• It was the second-straight game that the Owls scored 100 points in a game following a 100-89 win against Franklin Pierce on Wednesday, Jan. 23. It was also the sixth time in program history that SCSU has scored 100 points in back-to-back games, with the last time coming  during the 2015 season.

 • With his 28 points against Saint Michael's, McLeod now stands in 10th place with 1,601 career points and trails Tylon Smith 15' for 9th place all-time at SCSU with 1,761.
