The Southern Connecticut State University volleyball team is scheduled for two days of back-to-back tri-matches for the second-straight weekend. The Owls will head to Waterbury, Conn. home of the Post University Eagles to face Felician and Bloomsburg on Saturday, Sept. 14, and Bridgeport and Post on Sunday, Sept. 15.

The Last Time They Met:
• SCSU swept Felician in their last outing during the 2017 season.
Jillian Chambers notched a team-high nine kills and team-high ten digs in the win.
All-Time vs. Bloomsburg: 0-0

• This will be the first meeting in history between these two squads.
All-Time vs. Bridgeport: 13-18

Gabriela Vazquez registered 11 kills, but the Purple Knights swept the Owls.
All-Time vs. Post: 15-5
The Last Time They Met:
• The Owls swept pace behind the stellar play of then-seniors
Alyssa Gage and Leanna Jadus who registered 12 kills and a .579 hitting percentage and 10 kills, respectively.

Abigail Epstein had a hot hand for the Owls collecting 39 kills, nine aces and six blocks through the first four games in their opening weekend. Epstein's solid play in her SCSU debut earned her a spot on the Northeast 10 Conference honor roll in Week 1.

Tea Carter notched 133 assists, 36 digs and five services aces through all four wins, which earned her a spot in the first week of NE10 honors.
Next Up
The Owls will compete in their final tournament when they travel to East Stroudsburg, PA to face West Chester University of Pennsylvania, Jefferson, Caldwell and host East Stroudsburg. On Friday, Sept. 20 and Saturday, Sept. 21.
