Men's Soccer Falls To Saint Rose

ALBANY, N.Y.  - The Southern Connecticut State University men's soccer team was dealt a 4-0 loss by College of Saint Rose in a Northeast 10 Conference matchup in Albany, N.Y. With the loss, Southern drops to 1-2-3 overall and 0-2-1 in NE10 play while the Golden Knights improve to 5-1-0 overall and 1-0-0 in conference play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Hillmar Halldorsson scored in the 21st minute before setting-up Oskar Aastroem seven-minutes later to give the Golden Knights a 2-0 lead at the half.
  • Simari Smith made it 3-0 with 10 minutes remaining in regulation before Aastroem scored his second of the game in the closing minutes.

Southern is back in action on Saturday, Sept. 28 when it hosts
Stonehill at 7 p.m. at Jess Dow Field.
