NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Southern Connecticut State University men's soccer team fell to American International College, 2-0, on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021 in a Northeast 10 Conference game at Jess Dow Field. With the loss, Southern falls to 2-10-1 overall and 2-7-0 in the NE10, 11-1-1 and 8-1-0 in the NE10.
Bailey Bassett (Andover, Conn.) tied his career-high and set a new season-high in saves with nine. He previously had nine saves on Oct. 26, 2018 against Saint Anselm.
Matt Surette (Bowie, Md.) recorded three shots, while
Juan Alava (Guayaquil, Ecuador), Santiago Slapak (Manuel Alberti, Buenos Aires, Argentina), and
Jacob Rose (Uncasville, Conn.) had two shots each.
AIC scored on a penalty kick in the 23rd minute on a free kick in the 57th minute.
