NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Leroy Best (Bielefeld, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany) scored the game-winning goal in the 103rd minute to push Southern past Bentley, 1-0, at Jess Dow Field on Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021. With the win, Southern improves to 3-10-1 overall and 3-7-0 in the Northeast 10, while Bentley falls to 4-10-0 overall and 2-8-0 in the NE10.
Best's goal came on a breakaway in the second overtime period after fighting for a loose ball. Seeger, in his first start of the season, recorded the second shutout of his career.

- Best now leads the Owls with three goals and six points this season.
