Southern Connecticut men's soccer will travel to Bentley University for an NE10 conference regular season finale game on Tuesday, Oct. 25 at 3 p.m. in Waltham, Mass. The Owls are 8-4-3 overall, and stand 5-3-2 in the NE10. The Bentley University Falcons enter at 5-7-3 and are 4-5-1 in conference play.

Playoff Scenarios

  • Southern is currently 5-3-2 through 10 conference games, good for 17 points and a tie of second place with Adelphi. 
  • The teams holding the top four spots in the NE10 standings will host a first round tournament game. 
  • With a win against Bentley, the Owls would clinch home field advantage and host a NE10 Championship First Round Game on Saturday, Oct. 29 at 4 p.m. at Jess Dow Field.
  • With a tie against Bentley, the Owls would have 18 points in conference, and would contend with Adelphi (17 pts), Saint Rose, Southern New Hampshire and Assumption, for the last three holding 15 points each, that could achieve 18 points, maximum.  
  • A loss against Bentley would leave Southern at 17 points and seeding would depend on the outcome of Saint Rose's game against Saint Michael's; Southern New Hampshire's game against American International and Assumption's matchup against Le Moyne.

The men's soccer team will enter playoffs beginning on Saturday, Oct. 29. Seeding is dependent on scores around the conference from Tuesday's matches. Currently, the Owls sit in the 3rd spot.
