The Owls' Last Time Out
  • Southern picked up its first win of the 2022-23 in its home opener against Cauldwell as they knocked off the Cougars, 72-69.
  • Ulyen Coleman became the 32nd SCSU student-athlete to reach 1,000 points, and finished 13 against the Cougars.
  •  Kazell Stewart (East Hartford, Conn.) had a break-out game with a team-high 20 points with six rebounds and a pair of steals. 
  • Zack Penn (New Hartford, Conn.) Had his best game of the young season with 10 points, six rebounds and three blocks.
  • Marty Silvera (Worcester, Mass.) continued to flash his all-around game with eight points, eight rebounds and six assists. 
Owls Notes
  • Coleman became the 32nd SCSU student-athlete to reach 1,000 points and the first since C.J. Seaforth last season.
  • Coleman's 1,011 points comes across 76 career games and moved him past John Lavery who totaled 1,009 from 1972 through 1976.
  • The 2017-18 Northeast 10 Rookie of the Year, Coleman has scored at a 13.3 per-game clip for his career and leads the Owls at 15.7 per game this season.
  • For the season, Coleman leads the Owls with 15.7 points per game.
  • Marty Silvera is averaging 13.3 points, 6.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.
  • Stewart is shooting a team-best 72.2%S (13-18) from the floor while averaging 9.3 points per game.
  • Cherif Diarra checks in at 6.0 points and 7.0 rebounds per game while Zack Penn is averaging 6.0 points and 5.0 rebounds per contest and has a team-leading five blocks.  
  • Sean James leads the team with 10 assists for a 3.33 per game average. James also averages six points per contest.

Scouting The Penmen
  • SNHU enters the game with a record of 2-1 after opening the season with a 80-77 loss at Bridgeport, but has won back-to-back games against Post, 62-61, and Molloy, 81-69.
  • This will be Southern New Hampshire's fourth-straight road contest.
  • Matt Becht leads SNHU with 16.3 points per game while Noah Kamba averages 13 points and 5.3 rebunds per contest with a team-leading eight assists.
  • Evan Guillory averages 10.7 points and 5.0 rebouns while Ethan Okwuosa leads the team with 7.7 rebounds per contest while also averaging 8.7 points per game.
