Southern Connecticut women's basketball returns to James Moore Field House on Sunday, Nov. 27 to host Caldwell in a non-conference matchup at 1 p.m. Southern enters the game with a record of 3-1 overall while Caldwell is currently 2-3 on the season.

Their Last Time Out
Southern is coming of a 68-60 win against Dominican on Wednesday, Nov. 22. Ashley Evans (Londonderry, N.H.) and Katie Williamson (Dublin, Ireland) both turned in double-double performances with Evans totaling 16 points and 10 rebounds while Williamson finished with 11 points and 10 boards. Zoe Amalbert (Nanuet, N.Y.) had 13 points and a season-high eight assists as well as a team-high three steals while Delaney Connors (West Hartford, Conn.) had 15 points, seven assists and five rebounds.
 
Owls Notes
  • As a team, Southern has won three of its first four games, with wins against Georgian Court, Goldey-Beacom and Dominican.
  • The Owls enter the weekend averaging 64.8 points per game, while holding their opposition to 57.8 per game for a +7.0 scoring margin.
  • Southern ranks 17th in the country, while leading the NE10, with 17.7 assists per game. Zoe Amalbert's 6.0 assists rank 14th nationally while Delaney Connors' 5.7 assist per game average ranks 21st, while the duo sit 1st and 2nd among NE10 student-athletes.
  • The Owls have also hit on 46.2% from the field, which ranks 34th in the country and third in the conference.
  • Katie Wiliamson has scored at a 56.2% clip, good for second in the NE10.
  • Amalbert leads the Owls with a 15.0 points per game average as well as 6.0 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game.
  • Amalbert has led the Owls in scoring in two of their first four games, totaling 17 against Georgian Court and 13 against Southern New Hampshire.
  • Connors checks in at 10.3 points, 7.5 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game and has played a season-high 140 minutes.
  • Williamson is second on the Owls' roster with 11.5 points per game to go along with 5.0 rebounds while knocking down 22-of-38 from the floor.
  • Ashely Evans, a transfer from NCAA Div. I Lafayette, is coming off a career game with 16 points and 10 rebounds against Dominican. Evans is averaging 8.3 points and 5.8 rebounds per game and has hit on 60% (15-25) from the field. 
Scouting The Cougars
  • Caldwell enters Sunday's matchup with a record of 2-3. After back-to-back wins against Mercy and Molloy, Caldwell has lost its last two games, against Franklin Pierce and Saint Thomas Aquinas.
  • Casey O'Shaughnessy leads Caldwell with 19.2 points per game while shooting 42.3% from the floor (33-78) including a 45.8% average from three-point range (11-24).
  • O'Shaughnessy has dropped 20 against both of Caldwell's NE10 opponents this season, torching No. 12/13 Bentley for 27 before following with a 21-point effort against Franklin Pierce.
  • Halle Brown checks in with 8.8 points and 4.6 assists per game and has hit on 9-of-20 (45%) from downtown.
  • Saundra Cleckley averages 5.6 points and 5.8 rebounds per game as well as 3.25 steals per contest.
  • Rebecca Morrison averages 5.4 points and a team-leading 6.2 rebounds per game.
