Southern Connecticut women's basketball will host the University of the District of Columbia in a non-conference matchup at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29 at James Moore Fieldhouse. The Owls enter the game with a record of 6-3 overall and 2-2 in the NE10 while the University of the District of Columbia has a record of 6-6 overall and 2-1 in the East Coast Conference.

The Owls' Last Time Out
Southern is coming off a loss on the road to a tough Jefferson University team, 55-43, on Saturday, Dec. 17. Isabella Santoro (Durham, Conn.) scored a team-best 17 points to lead the Owls. Katie Williamson (Dublin, Ireland) also notched eight points and led the Owls in rebounds with nine. Delaney Haines (Portland, Me.) finished with nine points, going 3-of-5 from three-point range.

Scouting The Owls

  • Zoë Amalbert leads the Owls with with a 12.4 points per game average. Amalbert clocks in with team-bests in assists (4.9) and steals (1.7). She also averages 4.4 rebounds per game.
  • Katie Williamson leads the team in rebounds, averaging 7.1. She records 11.1 points per game, 1.1 assists, and 1.3 blocks. 
  • Delaney Haines averages six points, while also shooting 1.4 from behind the three-point line.
  • Delaney Connors averages 11.5 points, while also tabbing 5.6 rebounds and 4.5 assists.
  • Ashley Evans clocks in with seven points per game along with 4.3 rebounds per game.
  • Renza Milner is averaging 2.3 points and 4.1 rebounds per game.
