Southern Connecticut men's and women's swimming & diving's meet at Yale on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 4 p.m. can be seen live on ESPN+. While the swimming events will be hosted at Yale's Kiphuth Exhibition Pool, the diving events will commence at Bruce Hutchinson Natatorium at 4 p.m.  
 
The Owls will then host Northeast 10 Conference foe Pace on Friday, Dec. 9 at 1 p.m. at Bruce Hutchinson Natatorium. That meet can be seen live on The Owls Network.
 
SCSU Men's Swimming & Diving Notes
  • The Owls meet at Yale will be its first since Nov. 18 when it swam against Worcester Polytechnic. The Owls won that matchup, 156-140.
  • For his scores against WPI, Matheus Silva was named the NE10 Diver of the Week on Nov. 22. Silva won the 3 Meter Diving event with a score of 258.30. He then won his second event of the dual meet with a win in the 1 Meter Diving with a score of 257.35. 
  • McAllistar Milne was also named to the NE10 Honor Roll. Against WPI, he won four events, including the 200 Medley Relay, 200 Butterfly, 100 Freestyle and 200 Individual Medley. The 200 Yard Medley relay team of McAllistar Milne, Chandler Tucker, Kobe Dominguez and Henry Velazquez won with a time of 1:37.74.Milne picked up another win, this time in the 200 Yard Butterfly, with a time of 1:54.38.He then won this third event of the meet with a time of 47.78 in the 100 Freestyle. He concluded his performance when took his fourth event of the race with a time of 1:54.39 in the 200 Yard IM.
  • Milne leads the Owls with the top times in three events for the year. He posted a 1:44.37 in the 200 Free against CCSU, a 9:44.46 in the 1,000 Free against Iona and a 4:09.37 in the 400 IM against Iona.
  • Chandler Tucker owns the Owls top times in the 100 Back, with a 51.83 against Iona and a 58.87 in the 100 Breast against UConn. Tucker also has the team's second-best time in the 200 Free at 1:44.71.
  • Franklin Kuhn tops the Owls list in the 50 Free with a time of 22.04 against West Chester and Shippensburg and a 47.64 in the 100 Free against Iona.
  • Dylan Prescher owns the top time in the 500 Free with a 4:54.91 against Iona while his 10:12.25 in the 1000 Free against the Gaels is Southern's second-best time of the year.
  • Freshman Mason Wilde sits second in the 100 Free with a time of 49.79 against UConn and the 100 Breast with a time of 1:00.18 against Iona. He is also second to Milne in the 400 IM with a time of 4:24.80 in the 400 IM.
     
SCSU Women's Swimming & Diving Notes
  • Southern women's swimming & diving also defeated WPI, 158-139, on Nov. 18 and are coming off a loss against Central Connecticut on Nov. 30.
  • Against WPI, the 200 Medley Relay team of Hailey Nyquist, Maddie Dean, Justice Glasgow and Emily Darroch finished with a time of 1:53.23 to earn NE10 Relay of the Week honors on Nov. 22.
  • In addition to the relay team, Arianna Arturi, Nicholle Denault and Lindsay McCawley were named to the NE10 honor roll.
  • Arturi leads Southern in the 50 Free with a time of 25.56 against UConn as well as a the 100 Free with a time of 55.22 against CCSU. Arturi's time of 2:01.44 in the 200 Free against CCSU is also second on the Owls' roster.
  • Freshman Jasmine Uricchio leads Southern in the 500 Free, with a 5:17.53 against CCSU, and the 1000 Free with a 10:40.98 against UConn.
  • Uricchio also has the Owls' top time in the 200 Fly at 2:09.58 against Iona.
  • Freshman Paola Castillo swam a 2:00.24 in the 200 Free against Fairfield for Southern's top time in the event and is also second in the 1000 Free with a time of 10:41.77 against Iona.
  • Hailey Nyquist swam a 1:00.86 in the 100 Back while Ella Marzec's time of 2:11.08 in the 200 Back for team-leading times in both events.
  • Lindsay McCawley swam a 2:36.56 in the 200 Breast against WCU and Shippensburg and also has the Owls' top time in the 400 IM with a 4:50.24 against Iona.
  • Justice Glasgow's time of 59.20 in the 100 Fly against Iona is also a team-best.
