Patterson qualified in the 800-meter run and distance medley relay. He recorded a time of 1:50.01 at the Boston University Last Chance Meet, the sixth fastest time in program history. This is the second time Patterson has qualified for the NCAA Indoor National Championships, as he attained All-American status in the mile in 2019. Green also qualified for the 4x400-meter relay at the 2020 Indoor National Championships, where he was also an All-American. The quartet was also named NE10 Relay Team of the Week on Feb. 1.
Gagne, Green, Volpe, and Patterson all qualified for the distance medley relay with a seed time of 9:42.99 at the David Hemery Valentine Invitational, a new SCSU program record. Gagne and Volpe are competing in their first seasons of collegiate athletes, while this is the first time Green and Patterson will compete in distance medley relay at the NCAA Championships. Volpe and Patterson also competed in the 2021 NCAA Division II Cross Country National Championships. The four were named NE10 Relay Team of the Week on Feb. 15, 2022.
Cundiff will compete in the NCAA National Championships for the first time in his collegiate career. He qualified with a seed mark of 7.51 meters at the NE10 Conference Championships, the second best leap in program history. Cundiff is a two-time NE10 Long Jump Champion and a two-time USTFCCCA All-Region East Top Performer.
