OWLS MOVING UP THE CHARTS
Southern Connecticut improved on its national ranking from a week ago, moving up one spot to 15th in NCAA Division II men's soccer after a 6-0 win at College of Staten Island and a 0-0 tie in its Northeast 10 Conference opener against College of Saint Rose.

OWL HONORS
  •  Devin Juan and Hideki Morales were named to the Northeast 10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the NE10 on Monday, Sept. 12.
  • In a 1-0-1 week, Juan, who has logged every second in goal for the Owls this year, posted back-to-back shutouts, including an incredible seven-save performance on the road at NE10 foe Saint Rose on Saturday, Sept. 10. Earlier in the week, Juan stopped four shots against Staten Island in a 6-0 win.
  • Against the Golden Knights, Juan saved the game for the Owls when he denied Saint Rose's Nick Koenig on a penalty kick, and then also punched away Koenig's bid on the rebound on the shot. Juan enters the weekend with a scoreless streak of 197:08.
  • Owls junior Hideki Morales scored his first two goals of the season in a 6-0 win against Staten Island. Both of Morales' goals came late in the second half.
