SCSU Men's Swimming & Diving Falls To Marist

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Southern Connecticut men's swimming and diving lost to Marist, 185.50-103.50, in a meet in Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

McAllistar Milne (Glastonbury, Conn.) won two events while Chandler Tucker (Bellmore, N.Y.) also picked up a win. Franklin Kuhn (Tolland, Conn.) finished in the top three in three events.

200 Yard Medley Relay
Southern's 200 Yard Medley Relay Team of Chandler Tucker, Mason Wilde (Tolland, Conn.), Henry Velazquez (Fairfield, Conn.) and Jack Fry (Southbury, Conn.) finished third with a time of 1:38.93.

1650 Yard Freestyle
McAllistar Milne won the 1,650 Yard Freestyle event with a time of 16:24.31, well ahead of Marist's top swimmer at 17:00.78. Milne's time is also the fastest in the Northeast 10 Conference to date.

200 Yard Freestyle
Franklin Kuhn finished second in a close race in the 200 Yard Freestyle event with a time of 1:44.75, trailing the leader at 1:44.05. Kuhn's time was the seventh-fastest of the season in the NE10.

50 Yard Backstroke
Chandler Tucker was third in the 50 Yard Backstroke with a time of 24.57. Tucker's time is the third-fastest of the season in the conference. He currently holds down the two of the top three times, including a conference best 23.99 on Dec. 9, 2022.

50 Yard Breaststroke
Kobe Dominguez (West Hartford, Conn.) finished second in the 50 Yard Breaststroke event with a time of 28.69. Dominguez's time ranks fifth-best this season in the conference.

100 Yard Butterfly
Henry Velazquez finished third in the 100 Yard Butterfly event with a time of 53.34.

50 Yard Freestyle
Tucker was the Owls' top finisher in the 50 Yard Freestyle event with a time of 22.26, for third place, while Franklin Kuhn was close behind in fourth at 22.93.

1 Meter Diving
Jonathan Tressel (Meriden, Conn.) was third in the 1 Meter Diving event with a score of 164.03.

100 Yard Freestyle
Franklin Kuhn was second in the 100 Yard Freestyle event with a time of 48.09. Kuhn's time ranks ninth for the year in the conference.

100 Yard Backstroke
Kobe Dominguez finished fourth in the 100 Back with a time of 56.46.

100 Yard Breaststroke
Milne won his second event of the afternoon, tying Marist's Caden Hardy with a time of 59.99 in the 100 Breaststroke. Milne's time is his second fastest of the season and ranks ninth in the NE10 this year.

500 Yard Freestyle
Chandler Tucker picked up a win in the 500 Yard Freestyle event with a time of 4:45.51. Dylan Prescher (Ellington, Conn.) gave the Owls two of the top three spots in the event with a third-place finish at 4:55.44.Tucker's time is the third-fastest this season in the NE10, while Milne holds the top spot with a time of 4:40.13 on Dec. 8.

50 Yard Butterfly
Henry Velazquez finished fourth in the 50 Yard Butterfly with a time of 24.65. Velazquez touched with the fourth-fastest time in the NE10 this season.

3 Meter Diving
Tressel finished third in the 3 Meter Diving with a score of 143.10.

200 Yard Individual Medley
Swimming exhibition, Milne posted the Owls' top time in the 200 Yard IM at 1:56.47, which would have been good for second.

400 Yard Freestyle Relay
Southern's "A" team of Jack Fry, Franklin Kuhn, Mason Wilde and McAllistar Milne posted a time of 3:19.09 in the 400 Freestyle Relay.
