SCSU Men's Swimming & Diving Defeats Adelphi, 132-71

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut men's swimming & diving defeated Adelphi, 121-90, at Bruce Hutchinson Natatorium.

Seven different swimmers won events for the Owls, while the 400 Yard Medley Relay team of Kobe Dominguez (West Hartford, Conn.), McAllistar Milne (Glastonbury, Conn.), Michael Aiello (Monroe, Conn.) and Franklin Kuhn (Tolland, Conn.) all won individual events after taking the first race of the day. Dominguez won the 100 Yard Freestyle while Milne won the 200 Yard Freestyle. Aiello won the 200 Yard Butterfly and Kuhn won the 500 Yard Freestyle. Mattheus Silva (Stratford, Conn.) also won the 1 Meter Diving event.

400 Yard Medley Relay
The team of Dominguez, Milne, Aiello and Kuhn won the 400 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 3:34.00.

1,000 Yard Freestyle
Samir Souidi (Lynnbrook, N.Y.) won the 1,000 Yard Freestyle event with a time of 10:15.87.

200 Yard Freestyle
Southern took the top two spots in the 200 Yard Freestyle as Milne posted a time of 1:45.74 for first place followed by Dylan Prescher (Ellington, Conn.) at 1:49.63.

50 Yard Freestyle
Mason Wilde (Tolland, Conn.) won the 50 Yard Freestyle with a time of 22.37 followed by Jack Fry (Southbury, Conn.) in second place at 22.47.

200 Yard Individual Medley
Chandler Tucker (Bellmore, N.Y.) picked up the win in the 200 Yard IM with a time of 1:56.22 while Nick Fournier (Leominster, Mass.) was third at 2:11.11.

1 Meter Diving
Silva won the 1 Meter Diving event with a score of 265.79, while JD Tressel (Meriden, Conn.) finished second at 227.40.

200 Yard Butterfly
Aiello won the 200 Yard Butterfly with a time of 1:56.15.

100 Yard Freestyle
Dominguez captured the 100 Yard Freestyle with a time of 49.24 while Prescher was third at 50.57.

200 Yard Backstroke
Colin Doyle (Hartford, Conn.) won the 200 Yard Backstroke with a time of 2:09.26.

500 Yard Freestyle
Southern took the top three spots in the 500 Yard Freestyle, led by Kuhn in first place at 4:49.59, followed by Henry Velazquez (Fairfield, Conn.) at 4:51.08 and Aiden Kennedy (Prospect, Conn.) in third at 5:05.45.

200 Yard Breaststroke
Swimming exhibition, Wilde posted a second-place time in the 200 Yard Breaststroke at 2:13.09.

400 Yard Freestyle Relay
The Owls' "C" team of Milne, Prescher, Souidi and Kennedy finished in 3:19.35.
