SCSU Men's Indoor Track & Field Has Strong Showing At John Thomas Terrier Classic

BOSTON, Mass. – Southern Connecticut men's indoor track & field freshman Nolan Freeman won his second event in as many times on the track this season as he won the 60 Meter Dash at the John Thomas Terrier Classic hosted by Boston University at The TRACK at New Balance in Boston, Mass.

Freeman's time in the 60 Meter Dash posted at 6.99 for the win out of 57 runners, with half of the list comprised of NCAA Division I runners. Freeman is coming off a win in the 55 Meters at the William Sutherland Invitational last wee that earned him Northeast 10 Track Freshman of the Week. The Owls' freshman also finished tied for 10^th out of 121 in the 200 Meter Dash with a time of 22.00, which also stands as the Owls' top time of the indoor season.

The 800 Meter Run saw the Owls' Besufekad Opstrup post a time of 1:56.41 for 57^th place out of 137 runners, while posting the top time of all Division II runners in the event. Nolan Scott posted a time of 1:58.78 while Shea Kenney crossed at 2:00.22.

In the 400 Meter Dash, Christ N'Dabian finished 11^th out of 121 with a time of 48.37, with the top time of the season for the Owls, while Ramsley Exantus was 19^th at 49.04. Tariq Phillips finished 54^th at 50.74. Divine Edwards (51.49), Noah Conrod (52.58) and Ty Phelan (53.35) also ran in the race.

In the 500 Meter Run, Sachin Manning finished fourth at 1:04.27 while Osaretin Osagie was 10^th, out of 21 runners, with a time of 1:05.66. In the 1 Mile Run, Sean Barkasy had the Owls' top time of 4:18.70, while Owen Gagne finished in 4:29.45 and Evan Boland posted a time of 4:29.89.
