Southern Connecticut men's basketball will host Bentley for a Northeast 10 Conference matchup on Saturday, Jan. 28 at James Moore Field House at 3:30 p.m. Southern is 13-7 overall and 8-5 in the NE10, while Bentley comes to New Haven with a record of 16-2 overall and 11-2 in conference play.

Rematch
Southern and Bentley met earlier this season, with the Falcons taking a 86-62 decision on their home court on Dec. 3, 2022. Sean James led Southern with 13 points after converting on 3-of-7 from three-point range. Marty Silvera added 11 points as well as five assists and two steals. Kazell Stewart finished with seven points and eight rebounds as well as a block while Ulyen Coleman tallied eight points and five rebounds with four assists.

  • Ulyen Coleman has scored 19 points in each of his last two games and enters the weekend averaging a team-high 15.2 points per game.
  • Coleman also averages 4.2 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.
  • Marty Silvera checks in with 13.2 points per contest, as well as a team-leading 5.2 assists and 2.7 steals per game, which ranks second in NCAA Division II basketball. Silvera also averages 5.3 rebounds per game.
  • Silvera's 103 assists for the year rank second in the NE10 and 20th in the country.
  • Sean James averages 11.8 points per game as well as 3.0 assists and is leading the team in three-point field goal percentage at 41.% (45-109) and three-pointers made (45).

  • Diarra also averages 3.65 offensive rebounds per game, which leads the NE10 and ranks eighth, nationally.
  • Kazell Stewart checks in at 8.6 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.

  • Zach Laput leads the Falcons with 20 points per game while averaging 6.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.
  • Matt Leritz averages a team-high 9.3 rebounds per game while also scoring at a 15-point-per-game clip.
  • Mason Webb is averaging 13.7 points while Aaron Latham checks in at 10.8 points and 3.5 assists per game.
  • Brian Wright-Kinsey also averages in double figures, at 10.6 points per contest.
