WESTFIELD, Mass. - The Southern Connecticut State University women's cross country team clinched first place at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2023 at Stanley Park, hosted by American International College. Southern had five runners finish in the top 20 and had a total of 54 points to get the victory.
This is the first conference title for Southern in program history. In addition, the Southern men's cross country team clinched their second-straight NE10 title. Southern Connecticut is the third school since 2000 to have both the men's and women's teams capture the NE10 title in the same season.
Final Times:
- Briana Grecco (Thomaston, Conn.) finished sixth overall with a time of 22:36.70.
- Courtney Henchcliffe (Newtown, Conn.) finished in ninth place with a time of 23:02.20.
- Megan Whitnell (Litchfield, N.H.) finished in 10th place with a time of 23:04.80.
- PJ Dauphinais (Seymour, Conn.) finished in 12th place with a time of 23:07.80.
- Emilie Noreika (Prospect, Conn.) finished in 17th place with a time of 23:28.00.
- Abigail Bajorek (Vernon, Conn.) finished in 22nd place with a time of 24:18.30.
- Sarah Johnson (Waterford, Conn.) finished in 51st place with a time of 27:45.40.
