NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Southern Connecticut volleyball was defeated by non-conference opponent, Molloy University, on Sunday afternoon. The Owls dropped to an overall record of 11-15 and a NE10 record of 1-7. The Lions improved to an overall record of 11-12 and a ECC record of 6-3.
Carissa Michel led the team with six kills, as senior
Sara Enright followed behind with five kills and
Kendall Webber added four kills of her own. Enright had a team-best of 12 digs as Michel and
Ahunna James both recorded 10 digs each.
James led the team with four blocks, while Michel and
Sarah Stark each had three blocks.
Lily Miller led the team with 17 assists and three service aces. In addition, Michel and Enright recorded a service ace against Molloy.
Volleyball makes the short trip to West Haven, Conn. on Friday, Nov. 3 against Elm-City rival, the University of New Haven at 5:00 p.m. in an NE10 matchup.
