SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Southern Connecticut was swept by American International College, 3-0, in Northeast-10 action on Tuesday night. Southern dropped to 10-8 overall and have a conference record of 0-2 while American International improved to an overall record of 9-6, and a conference record of 4-0.
 
Avery Smith and Carissa Michel led the team with five kills as Sara Enright followed closely behind with four kills of her own. In addition, Aubrey Villena and Dylan Marney led the team with five digs each. Michel and Sarah Stark had two blocks against the Yellowjackets. Taylor Jones had a team-best of 13 assists for the match.
 
The Owls return to action on Friday, October 6 at 6:00 p.m. against NE10 opponent, Assumption University at Pelz Gym.
