SCSU Men's Basketball Take Down University Of Bridgeport And Move To 2-0

SCSU men's basketball picked up a road win against the University of Bridgeport Purple Knights in a non conference matchup. The Owls topped the Purple Knights 98-94 giving the Owls a 2-0 start on the year.
 
Although maintaining the lead most of the game the Owls found themselves in a late game battle as the Purple Knights were able to cut the Owl's lead to single digits on multiple occasions.
 
Dominant performances from Josh McGettigan, Marty Silvera, and Kazell Stewart helped the Owls finish with the four point victory over the Purple Knights. Kazell Stewart, the Owls leading scorer finished with a career high 26 points accompanied by seven rebounds. Josh McGettigan, in his second game with the Owls finished second in scoring alongside Marty Silvera, both netting 19 points each. Clutch free throws from both Sean James and Silvera helped the Owls put away this tough road battle.

The Owls next matchup will be against Mercy University on Wednesday, November 15th at 7pm in Dobbs Ferry, NY
