Southern Connecticut men's basketball will host Holy Family on for a special holiday matinee on Tuesday, Dec. 19 at 2 p.m. at James Moore Field House. The Owls enter the game on a four-game winning streak and stand at 7-2 overall while Holy Family is 4-6.

Southern Connecticut men's and women's basketball tickets will be $7 for adults and $5 for children under 12 and seniors. Owls' fans can purchase tickets here. All SCSU students, staff and faculty are admitted free.

In a 91-74 win at Georgian Court in their last game, Kazell Stewart led Southern with 21 points after shooting a perfect 7-for-7 from the floor and converting 7-of-10 from the three-point line. Stewart also grabbed five rebounds and had two blocks and two steals. Josh McGettigan chipped in 17 points with five boards while Marty Silver had nine points, eight assists, six rebounds and four steals. Sean James tallied nine points on three, three-pointers and Cherif Diarra had eight points, six rebounds and a pair of blocks.
 
Notes: Josh McGettigan leads Southern with 18.7 points with 6.4 rebounds per game. McGettigan is shooting 51.9% (55-106) from the floor and 42.6% (23-54) from three-point range. McGettigan is shooting 81.4% (35-43) from the free throw line … Kazell Stewart averages 13.4 points and 6.4 rebounds per game as well as 1.9 blocks while shooting 68.1% (49-72) from the floor. The third-year Owl has been on a tear over his last three games averaging 18.3 points while shooting 80% (20-25) from the floor with 7.3 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game … Marty Silvera is averaging 13.2 points and 7.0 assists per game as well as 2.6 steals and 3.8 rebounds per contest … Sean James checks in at 9.2 points per game … Cherif Diarra leads the Owls with 9.2 rebounds per game with 1.3 blocks and 8.1 points per contest … First-year Owl and back-up point guard Christian Joe is averaging 7.0 points and 2.1 assists in 12.3 minutes per game … Mason is 10-for-17 from three-point range over his last four games.
