SCSU Women's Basketball Falls To Saint Rose

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut women's basketball lost to Saint Rose, 58-30, in a Northeast-10 Conference matchup at James Moore Field House. With the loss, Southern dropped to 2-5 overall and 1-3 in NE10 play while Saint Rose improved to 4-1 overall and 3-1 in conference play.

Ashley Evans led the Owls with nine points and five rebounds as well as a block while Julianna Bonilla and Delaney Haines both had six points. Jillian Martin led the Owls with six rebounds and three assists.

Southern returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 9 when it hosts Bridgeport for a non-conference matchup at 12 p.m. at James Moore Field House. The game will be the Owls' final home game for the 2023 calendar year before they open January with back-to-back home games against Saint Anselm on Wednesday, Jan. 3 and Saint Michael's on Saturday, Jan. 6.
