Southern Connecticut men's basketball will travel to Springfield, Mass. to take on American International College in a Northeast 10 Conference matchup on Saturday, Feb. 18 at 3:30 p.m. at the Henry A. Butova Gymnasium. The Owls enter the game with a record of 16-10 overall and 10-8 in the NE10, while AIC is 5-21 overall and 3-15 in Northeast 10 Conference play.

The Owls' Last Time Out
Cherif Diarra (Queens, N.Y.) posted his fourth double-double of the season after grabbing a career-best 15 rebounds while also scoring 13 points. Diarra was 6-for-10 from the floor and also contributed three assists. Sean James (West Hartford, Conn.) led the Owls with 17 points while Zack Penn (New Hartford, Conn.) added 13 points. Marty Silvera (Worcester, Mass.) totaled 12 points and five assists.

• Southern is coming off an 76-73 loss against Franklin Pierce in New Haven. Conn. on Feb. 15.
• The last time Southern faced AIC was on Dec. 31 during the current 2022-23 season where the Owls won, 77-73.
• Cherif Diarra recorded a double-double in the last game against Franklin Pierce. He averages 7.6 points per game and nine rebounds.
• Sean James led the Owls in their last outing with 17 points. He averages 12.4 points per game and has a 40% conversion rate on three point shots.
• Zack Penn average 9.8 points and 6.5 rebounds. He contributed 13 points in the Owls' previous game.
