Southern Connecticut men's basketball will honor Ulyen Coleman, Alex Lin and Zack Penn and for Senior Night on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2023. The Owls will host Assumption at 7:30 p.m., with Senior Night festivities slated for the start of the game. Southern enters the game with a record of 17-10 overall and 11-8 in the Northeast 10 Conference while Assumption is 13-13 overall and 9-10 in conference play.

Northeast 10 Conference Tournament 
At 11-8, the Owls have clinched a run in the Northeast 10 Conference Tournament. As seeding will not be solidified until the conclusion of the regular season, on Tuesday, Feb. 21, Owls fans should refer to SCSUOwls.com for updates.

2023 Seniors
Southern will honor Ulyen Coleman, Alex Lin and Zack Penn for Senior Day. 

Ulyen Coleman has played in 99 games for the Owls and started in 98. His career-point average is 13.7 and he records 4.9 rebounds while shooting 36% from the three-point line. Coleman joined Southern's 1,000 Point Club while leading the Owls to a 72-69 non-conference win against Caldwell at James Moore Field House on Nov. 16, 2022. In the 2017-18 season, Coleman was named the Northeast 10 Rookie of the Year and hit his career-high in points on Jan. 31, 2018 where he notched 29 points against New Haven.

Alex Lin transferred from Mercer County Community College and played in his first season for SCSU in the 2021-22 season. Lin has played in 29 games, starting in six. He averaged 2.7 points during his career and posted a career-high against Adelphi on Jan. 5, 2022 where he scored 12. 

Zack Penn has played in 83 games for the Owls and has started in 50. During his career at SCSU, Penn has averaged 6.5 points per game and 5.4 rebounds. In the current 2022-23 season, Penn averages 9.8 points and 6.5 rebounds and recorded a double-double five times. On Jan. 4, 2023 against Pace, Penn hit his career-high in points with 20 during his third double-double of the season. In the Owls last three out of four games, Penn has recorded a double-double.
