MANSFIELD, Mass. - Southern Connecticut men's indoor track and field won two of the five major Northeast 10 Weekly Awards as Nate Llanos was named Field Athlete of the Week and Nolan Freeman was named Track Rookie of the Week, while Jonathan Volpe was named to the Honor Roll. 

At the 2023 NEICAAA New England Championships, Nate Llanos won the Pole Vault Championship with a personal-best mark of 4.95m (16' 2 ¾").

First-year Owl Nolan Freeman earned All-New England in two events. Freeman finished eighth in the 60 Meter Dash finals with a time of 7.05 and was also part of the 4x400 Relay team that finished second with a time of 3:18.33.

Jonathan Volpe captured the New England Championship 1,000 Meter Run with a time of 2:29.22, finishing just .0:00.02 ahead of the second-place runner from Central Connecticut. Volpe was the only Division II qualifier in the race.
