WEST HAVEN, Conn.- Southern Connecticut State volleyball was swept by the University of New Haven, 3-0, in a non-conference matchup at the Jeffery P. Hazell Athletic Center. The Owls dropped to 8-7 overall while the Chargers improved to 4-6 on the season.
 
Sara Enright led the team with seven kills, 14 digs, two aces and an assist against New Haven. Kacey Deecher recorded five kills, seven digs and a block. First-year Kendall Webber had five kills and four blocks while Dylan Marney had nine digs for the day. Lily Miller led the team in assists with 14, as Taylor Jones followed closely behind with 10 assists of her own.
 
Southern returns to action on Tuesday, September 26 at 7:00 pm against Caldwell University in Caldwell, New Jersey. The Owls come back to Pelz Gym on Thursday, September 28 for a 7:00 pm match against Felician University. Closing out the month, Southern travels to Lakewood, New Jersey to play Georgian Court University on Friday, September 29 for a 5:00 pm match.
