SCSU Volleyball Sweeps Dominican and Saint Anselm

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut State University swept Dominican and Saint Anselm in a tri-match at Pelz Gymnasium. With the two wins, Southern improved to 3-3 on the year.
For the night, Sara Enright had 17 kills and 19 digs while Carissa Michel totaled 12 kills and six aces.

Against Dominican (25-8, 28-18, 25-20), Southern was led by Sara Enright's nine kills and 12 digs while Carissa Michel totaled seven kills while hitting .545 and also had four aces. Kendall Webber also totaled seven kills, while hitting .778, with three blocks. Taylor Jones finished with 20 assists.



Against Saint Anselm (25-20, 25-20, 25-19), it was Enright again with eight kills as well as seven digs while Michel had five kills and two aces. Kacey Deecher led the Owls in the match with nine kills and eight digs while Sarah Stark finished with four kills while hitting .667 with two clocks. Kaila Keovilaysane led all Owls with three service aces. Jones had 12 assists while Lily Miller had eight.



Southern is back in action on Saturday, Sept. 9 when they travel to Waterbury, Conn. to take on Bridgeport at 5:30 p.m. followed by Post at 8 p.m. at Post University.
