SCSU Men's Basketball Defeats Franklin Pierce University, 94-72

SCSU Men's basketball picks up a huge bounce back win against Franklin Pierce University, 94-72. This win snaps a two game losing streak and brings their overall record to 12-5 with a conference record of 6-5.

Thanks to some efficient shooting and stout defense the Owls would establish a 36-32 lead heading into the half. Despite the ravens putting together a second half run the Owls were able to keep the offense rolling and shut the door, picking up the 22 point victory.

The Owls point general Marty Silvera came up big in the win leading the team in scoring and assists with 21 points and 9 assists. Both Mason Williams and Logan Bagshaw made a huge impact for the Owls off the bench, helping spark the offense with some big time shooting. Williams put up a career high 17 points on 5-8 shooting from behind the arch while Bagshaw put up 14 points of his own, shooting 3-4 from behind the arch.

The Owls will look to carry this momentum into their next game on Wednesday January 24th at 730PM against Adelphi University in Garden City, NY.
