SCSU Men's Basketball Falls To Adelphi, 79-70

Box Score After picking up a home win against FPU on Saturday the Owls drop a road loss to Adelphi University, 79-70, bringing their overall record to 12-6 on the season with a conference record of 6-6.

The Owls would pick up an early lead in the first half however for the remainder of the game it would be Adelphi in control, maintaining the lead for 35 minutes played. The Owls were able to put together a 8-0 run cutting the lead to just five late in the fourth. However Adelphi was able to shut the door and finish with the nine point victory.

Despite the loss the Owls had four player with double digit scoring with Josh McGetigan finishing with a team high 17 points. Cherif Diarra would also finish with a game high 13 rebounds on the day.

The Owls will look to get back in the win column on January 27th against Assumption University at 3:30PM in New Haven, CT.
