Marty Silvera totaled 11 points, six rebounds and four assists while Josh McGettigan had nine points and eight rebounds.

A close game out of the gate, both teams played even through the opening minutes before Assumption used an 13-2 lead to take a 18-11 lead midway through the half. As the half went back-and-forth, Assumption led by five, 32-27, with just under three minutes to go. Stewart scored twice before Silvera's layup with 22 seconds to go gave the Owls a 33-32 lead heading into the break.

Coming out of the break, Assumption controlled play early on, using a 20-6 run to take a 52-39 lead with 14:12 to play.  Trailing 66-51 with seven minutes to play, the Owls used a 13-4 run to pull within six, 70-64, behind nine points from Joe.
