Box Score GARDEN CITY, N.Y.-The Southern Connecticut field hockey team lost to Adelphi, 7-1. The Owls are now 5-9 overall and 3-6 in the conference. Adelphi improves to 6-8 overall and 6-3 in the conference.
The Panthers of Adelphi got the scoring going a little over three minutes into the game and just did not let up. They scored another goal in the second quarter, a whopping four in the third quarter, and their seventh goal came in the fourth.
With two minutes left in the game, Kyla Hart-Perron scored the Owls lone goal. Lyndsay Troisi had seven saves in the loss.
The Owls are back home on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. to take on Bentley. They will also host Southern New Hampshire on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 6 p.m. where they'll celebrate senior day.
