SCSU Men's Swimming & Diving Tipped By Adelphi, 159-139

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut State University men's swimming & diving lost a dual meet against Adelphi, 159-139, in a matchup of Northeast-10 Conference foes at Bruce Hutchinson Natatorium.

200 Yard Medley Relay
Southern's "A" team of Adam Fred, Kobe Dominguez, Henry Velazquez and Jack Fry opened the meet with a win in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:37.95 for 11 points. The "B" team of Austin Roney, Ben Frazer, Jacob Tanner and Travis Scott posted a time of 1:42.32 for third place.

1000 Yard Freestyle
Samir Souidi won the 1000 Free event with a time of 10:09.57 (9 pts.) while Richie Hall was third at 10:18.82 and James Custer picked up another point for Southern with a fifth-place finish at 10:48.09.

200 Yard Freestyle
McAllistar Milne won the 200 Free event with a time of 1:44.59 (9 pts.) while Jack Fry finished fourth at 1:47.60.

100 Yard Backstroke
Adam Fred finished third in the 100 Back with a time of 54.74 (3 pts.) followed by Austin Roney in fourth at 55.86.

100 Yard Breaststroke
Kobe Dominguez finished second in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 58.58 (4 pts.) followed by Benjamin Frazer in third place at 1:01.39.

200 Yard Butterfly
Henry Velazquez posted a third-place finish in the 200 Fly with a time of 1:59.33 followed by Lucas Quiroga in fourth at 2:00.83 and Jacob Tanner in fifth at 2:08.16.

50 Yard Freestyle
Franklin Kuhn finished second in the 50 Free with a time of 21.59 (4pts.) followed by Drew Ladner in third at 22.02 (4 pts.).

3 Meter Diving
JT Tressel won the 3 Meter diving event with a score of 237.15 (9 pts.) followed by Elliott Speckhard in second at 229.05 (4 pts.).

100 Yard Freestyle
Drew Ladner was the Owls' top finisher in the 100 Free with a time of 47.52 for second place while Franklin Kuhn picked up a point for the Owls with a fifth place finish at 48.22.

200 Yard Backstroke
McAllistar Milne finished second in the 200 Back with a time of 1:57.65 followed by Austin Roney in third at 2:01.26.

200 Yard Breaststroke
Kobe Dominguez led the Owls with a second-place finish in the 200 Breaststroke with a time of 2:15.25. Kris Janney picked up a point for Southern with a fifth-place finish at 2:20.82.

500 Yard Freestyle
Southern took three of the top four spots in the 500 Free led by Richie Hall in second at 4:57.29 (4 pts.). Lucas Quiroga was third at 4:57.38 (3 pts.) while Franklin Kuhn was fourth at 5:03.95 (2 pts.).

100 Yard Butterfly
Drew Ladner led the Owls in the 100 Fly with a time of 52.70 while Henry Velazquez was fourth at 54.16.

1 Meter Diving
JT Tressel swept the diving competition with a win the 1 Meter event. Tressel posted a score of 245.33 (9 pts.) followed close behind in second place by Elliott Speckhard at 244.05.

200 Yard Individual Medley
Milne won his second event of the afternoon with a time of 1:56.78 in the 200 IM (9 pts.). Kobe Dominguez was fifth with a time of 2:06.08.

400 Yard Freestyle Relay
Southern's "A" relay of Drew Ladner, Ben Frazer, Franklin Kuhn and Jack Fry finished second in the 400 Free Relay with a time of 3:10.05.

Southern returns to action on Friday, Nov. 15 when it hosts Worcester Polytechnic Institute at 6 p.m. at Hutchinson Natatorium.
