ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Southern Connecticut Men's Cross Country won their third straight NCAA East Regional Championship, clinching a spot in the NCAA National Championship. The Owls captured four of the top 15 spots, and all runners finished in the top 26.
Owen Gagne led the Owls coming off a 1st place finish at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship. He crossed the line in 6th place with a time of 31:34.9 on the 10k course. Bryan Ryder followed in 9th at 31:53.6. William Lamburn, John Glidden, and Luca Cazzaniga were Southern's other three scorers, finishing in 11th, 13th, and 18th with times of 32:04.1, 32:08.3, and 32:14.5 respectively.
Joseph Lamburn and Nate Huebner rounded out the pack, finishing in 23rd and 26th. Lamburn crossed the line at 32:23.1 and Huebner at 32:37.1.
Gagne, Ryder, William Lamburn, Glidden, Cazzaniga, and Joseph Lamburn were all recipients of All-Region honors as top-25 finishers.
The Owls will travel to Sacramento, California for the NCAA National Championship on Saturday, November 23rd.
