Nate Huebner Nominated for NE10 Man of the Year

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Southern Connecticut men's cross country and track & field standout Nate Huebner was named a 2025-26 Northeast 10 Conference Man of the Year Nominee, as announced by the NE10 on Monday, May 11, 2026. The nominees and award winners are determined by the NE10 Senior Woman Administrator (SWA) Council.

Each nominee is a senior student-athlete that has excelled in all areas of their collegiate careers – on the playing surface, in the classroom and in the community. The two winners are set to be announced at the NE10 Banquet, hosted by Saint Michael's College in early June.

Each NE10 institution nominates student-athletes for both Man and Woman of the Year. The 2025-26 academic year marks the 14th time that the league will award the NE10 Man of the Year honor, while the NE10 Woman of the Year honor has been awarded since 2005-06.

Huebner had an outstanding year for the Owls. He is a four-year member of both the cross country and track & field programs, and is a team captain. For cross country, he is a two-time All-NE10 and All-Region Honoree, including a 6th place finish at this year's East Region Championships. On the track, he has totaled six medals, including a first place finish in the DMR and a 2nd place finish in the mile at this year's NE10 Indoor Championships. Most recently, he was a part of the Owls' 1st-place 4x800 relay team at the 2026 NE10 Championships. Off the field, he has excelled in the classroom, and is a multi-time NE10 and USTFCCCA All-Academic selection.
