Christian McClease Named NE10's Rookie of the Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Southern Connecticut Men's Basketball freshman Christian McClease has been named the Northeast-10 Conference's Rookie of the Week for Week 5 of the 2024-25 season. 

In a season where the Owls have injury trouble early on, Freshman Christian McClease has stepped up, playing a large role in his rookie season. In Southern's two games this past week, the New Haven native played 40 minutes, scoring seven points and collecting eight rebounds. On the year, McClease is averaging 6.8 points per game, 4.3 rebounds per game, and 24.2 minutes per game. He has also shot a perfect 100% from the charity stripe. 

The Owls travel to Philadelphia for their next matchup as they take on Holy Family in a non-conference battle on Saturday, December 14th.
