SCSU Men's Basketball Falls To SNHU, 82-70

SCSU Men's Basketball drop a game to Southern New Hampshire University, 82-70. This loss brings their overall record to 17-9 on the season with a conference record of 11-9. 

Prior to the game the Owls celebrated senior night in which both Josh McGetigan and Mason Williams were honored for both of their decorated collegiate careers. The match up against the Penmen that followed however did not go as planned. Although gaining the lead on three different occasions the Owls struggled to slow down the Penmen offense which shot 61.8% from the field . SNHU would take a halftime lead of 43-34 with the Owls struggling to close the gap in the second half leading to the 12 point loss.

Despite the loss Marty Silvera would lead the Owls in scoring with 15 points along with Kazell Stewart putting together an efficient performance finishing with 14 points on 7-8 shooting with eight rebounds. Logan Bagshaw would also find himself having an efficient night putting up 10 points shooting 4-6 from the field.

The Owls will look to bounce back with their match up against Franklin Pierce on Tuesday, February 27th, at 3:30PM in Rindge, NH.
