NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut men's basketball will host Saint Anselm for the Northeast-10 Conference Championship Semifinals on Wednesday, Mar. 6 at 7 p.m. at James Moore Field House. The Owls, the sixth seed in the NE10 tournament, defeated Bentley in the Quarterfinals while seventh-seed Saint Anselm defeated Adelphi to set up Southern Connecticut with the home game.

SCSU Athletics & Recreation is calling on Owls fans to #PackTheHouse on Wednesday night and will have giveaways for SCSU students in attendance. Tickets for the game are $10 for adults, $5 for seniors and children under 12 and free for all NE10 students with a student ID.

The Owls' win against Bentley was the program's first in the NE10 tournament while Wednesday's game is Southern's first trip to the NE10 Semifinals since the 2018-19 season. Marty Silvera led the Owls' offense with 19 points, nine assists and four steals while Josh McGettigan totaled 18 points. Cherif Diarra totaled 12 points and five blocks while Sean James and Mason Williams both added 11 points each. Kazell Stewart totaled nine points and nine rebounds with a pair of blocks.

Southern and Saint Anselm last met in the NE10 Tournament in 2021-22 with the Hawks winning their First Round matchup. Prior to that, Southern defeated Saint Anselm in the First Round of the 2018-19 NE10 Tournament. Southern is 3-2 all-time against Saint Anselm in the NE10 tournament. The Owls and Hawks have also met in the NCAA Regional, twice, with the two teams splitting those game, including Southern's Sweet 16 win against Saint Anselm in 2014.

This season, Southern swept the season series against Saint Anselm, winning at home, 86-75, on Jan. 3 and also picking up an 83-73 win in Manchester, N.H. on Feb. 10.
