WINTER PARK, Fla. – Southern Connecticut volleyball fell to Lynn University, 3-0, and fell to Rollins College, 3-0, in their final two matches at the 2024 Rollins College Invitational in Winter Park, Florida. The Fighting Knights improved to an overall record of 9-0, the Tars improved to an overall record of 8-2 and the Owls dropped to an overall record of 1-10.

Jasmine Stroud added three kills of her own. Freshman
Jasmine Johnson had a team-best of five digs, senior

Dylan Marney both had three digs.
Sophomore
Madi Roar led the team with 12 assists as
Lily Miller posted six assists and
Jasmine Johnson had two assists against the Fighting Knights.
Dylan Marney had a game-best of two aces and
Lily Miller added an ace. Sophomore
Sarah Stark and
Jasmine Stroud each had a block for Southern Connecticut.

Raegen Emery and
Sydney Bennett led the team with four kills as
Sarah Stark had three kills. Freshman
Jalie Miller recorded a team-best of 12 digs,
Lily Miller had seven digs and Emery had six. For assists,
Lily Miller posted nine assists,
Madi Roar had seven assists and freshman
Emma Dedushaj added an assist against the Tars.
For aces,
Lily Miller and
Sarah Stark both led the team with two, as Emery added a service ace. Stark had a team-best of two blocks, while Emery and Stroud each had a block of their own.
At the conclusion of the tournament, one player from each team was selected to the 2024 Rollins Invitational All-Tournament Team. For Southern Connecticut,
Raegen Emery was selected to the All-Tournament Team.
The Owls will travel to Orangeburg, N.Y. to face non-conference opponent, Dominican University of New York at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 25, before returning home to Pelz Gym on Saturday, Sept. 28 in a non-conference match against Caldwell University at 11:00 a.m.
