BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Southern Connecticut State University men's soccer came to a draw against the University of Bridgeport, 1-1. With the win, the Owls improved to 1-0-1 overall in non-conference play.
Zico Groenveld had the lone goal for Southern as they got on the board in the 13th minute when he scored off a pass from Jake Novoshelski to give the Owls the lead. The Purple Knights put their goal on the board in the 58th minute of the game.
Southern is back in action on Saturday, Sept. 14 when it travels to West Chester, Pa. to take on West Chester University of Pennsylvania in a non-conference match up at 4 p.m. The Owls return home on Wednesday, Sept. 18 to face Queens College at 7 p.m. at Jess Dow Field.
