MANSFIELD, Mass. - Southern Connecticut men's swimming and diving seniors
Drew Ladner and
JT Tressel have been tabbed with Northeast-10 Weekly Awards for Week 9 as announced by the conference on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Ladner was named Swimmer of the Week for the first time this season. Tressel has been named Diver of the Week for the third time this season.
Competing at Bentley, Ladner made his mark in every event; in the 200 Free, 100 Free, and 400 Freestyle, he – and his relay team – broke the meet records in those events. In the 100 Fly, he now has the second fastest time in meet history. In each of the three individual events, he already held the meet records from last season. He now is 8th and 9th in the NE10 in the 200 Free, 5th and 7th in the NE10 in the 100 Free, and 11th and 13th in the NE10 in the 100 Fly.
In a dual against Bentley, Tressel won both the one- and three-meter dive, winning by more than 135 points in the latter with a 420.9 score.
The Owls are back in Hutchinson Natatorium on Saturday, Jan. 25 for a meet against Saint Michael's.
