SCSU Men's Swimming and Diving Bests College of Staten Island for First Win of the Season

NEW HAVEN, CONN. -- Southern Connecticut defeated the College of State Island 120-101 to capture their first dual meet win of the season. 

1 Meter Diving:
Cole Mullarkey finished second with a score of 186.38. 
3 Meter Diving: 
Mullarkey placed second with a score of 192.90. 
200 Yard Medley Relay:
A Southern Connecticut relay team of Mason Durant, Nick Fournier, Zach Krantz and Korbin Concliffe finished second with a time of 1:43.51. Placing fourth, was another Southern Connecticut team of Kris Janney, Jack Simmons, Jacob Tanner and Kenny Lagamao finishing in 1:45.92. 
1650 Yard Freestyle: 
Dylan Prescher won the race with a time of 17:15.67. Following him in second was Richie Hall with a time of 17:54.05. Rounding out the top three, was James Custer finishing in 18:09.11. 
200 Yard Freestyle: 
The Owls secured the top three places in the 200 yard freestyle. Sam Whitaker won the event with a time of 1:39.46. Following him was Samir Souidi finishing in 1:49.81. Placing third, was Lucas Quiroga at 1:50.01. 
50 Yard Freestyle: 
Jack Fry won the event with a time of 21.87. Following him in second was Ben Frazer with a time 22.16. 
200 Yard IM: 
Janney finished third with a time of 2:05.50. Following him in fourth was Travis Scott who finished in 2:08.39. 
100 Yard Butterfly: 
Durant won the event with a time of 54.52. Placing third, was Tanner with a time of 56.36. 
100 Yard Freestyle: 
Fry took home his second event win of the meet with a time of 48.13. Following him in second was Frazer at 48.17. 
100 Yard Backstroke: 
Durant placed second with a time of 58.92. Following him in third, was Janney at 59.08. 
500 Yard Freestyle: 
Prescher won his second individual event of the meet with a time of 4:54.10. Following him in second, was Whitaker at 5:01.09. Rounding out the top three was Souidi who finished in 5:12.94. 

Southern Connecticut is back in action on Dec. 4 at 4 PM when instate DI rival Yale Bulldogs come to the Hutchinson
Natatorium.
