SCSU Women's Swimming and Diving Bests College of Staten Island, 142-82 for Second Straight Win

NEW HAVEN, CONN-- Southern Connecticut defeated the College of Staten Island 142-82 to capture their second dual meet win in a row.

200 Yard Medley Relay:
A Southern Connecticut relay team of Abby Lyons, Ally Quitos, Julia Pitchell and Molly Kennedy won the event with a time of 1:53.29. Another Southern Connecticut relay team of Zoe McNeill, Emma St Hillaire, Jasmine Uricchio and Jade Ventura placed third finishing in 1:58.23.

1650 Yard Freestyle:
Southern Connecticut had all of the top four finishers in the 1650. Kali Dominguez led the way finishing in 18:29.68. In second, was Sierra DuCharme with a time of 18:35.23. Following her in third was Paola Castillo at 18:40.41. Rounding out the point scorers, in fourth was Claire Hanna at 18:55.81.

200 Yard Freestyle:
After swimmer the anchor leg of Southern Connecticut's winning 200 yard medley relay team, Kennedy won the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:56.44. Ellyn Baker placed third with a time of 2:02.67.

50 Yard Freestyle:
The Owls had all of the top finishers in the 50 yard freestyle. Jilian Pitchell won the event with a time of 25.37. Following her in second was Emily Denise at 25.43. Taking third was Julia Pitchell at 26.95.

200 Yard IM:
Aralyn Vogel won the event with a time of 2:17.06. Following her in second, was St Hillaire at 2:17.58.

100 Yard Butterfly:
Uricchio won the event at 1:00.67. Following her in second, was Lakshmi Garofalo at 1:02.35.

100 Yard Freestyle:
Jilian Pitchell took second with a time of 56.42. Following her in third, was DuCharme at 57.98.

100 Yard Backstroke:
Reina Loaicano won the event at 1:03.87. McNeil placed third with a time of 1:05.38.

500 Yard Freestyle:
Kennedy captured her second individual event win of the day with a time of 5:21.15. Following her in second, was Ava Emmerich at 5:28.13. Vogel rounded out the top three with a time of 5:31.87.

1 Meter Diving:
Lexi Dominguez placed second with a score of 140.70. Following her in third was Garofalo at 132.15.

3 Meter Diving:
Lexi Dominguez placed second with a score of 131.03. Following her in third was Garofalo at 121.13.

Southern Connecticut is back in action at home on Dec. 4 at 4 PM when in state DI rivals Yale and UCONN come to the Hutchinson Natatorium.
