PROVIDENCE, RI - The Southern Connecticut gymnastics team placed second in a tri-meet at Brown finishing with a score of 189.300. Brown won the meet with a score of 194.575 and Rhode Island College finished third with a score of 189.075. The Owls had a pair of top five finishes from Libby Allen on the floor and Brianna Dorr on the vault. 

UNEVEN BARS
Kylie Sitty had the highest score for the Owls with a 9.550 which was good for a tie for sixth. Shreya Munshi finished ninth with a score of 9.475. 

BALANCE BEAM
Alexa Melanson scored a 9.725 on the beam for sixth place. Libby Allen and Angelina Stanfa scored a 9.600. 

FLOOR EXERCISE
Allen scored her season best 9.800 for a third place tie. Erica Beyer tied for sixth after scoring a 9.725 and Hanna Zebdi scored a 9.700 to finish ninth.

VAULT
Brianna Dorr tied for second place on the vault with a score of 9.675. Sitty tied for fifth with a score of 9.600 and Zebdi scored a 9.525 to tie for seventh. Haley Fitzgerald also scored a 9.525 in exhibition. 

The Owls will travel to Piscataway, N.J. on Friday, Mar. 7 for a quad-meet at Rutgers.
