Allen, Beyer, Dinisoe, Royer, and Zebdi Named WCGNIC All-Americans

SHREVEPORT, LA. - Southern Connecticut gymnastics standouts Libby Allen, Erica Beyer, and Gabriela Dinisoe were all named Women's Collegiate Gymnastics National Invitational Championships First Team All-Americans while Abby Royer and Hanna Zebdi were named Second Team All-Americans. Allen, Beyer, and Royer earned their honors on the floor exercise, and Dinisoe and Zebdi earned theirs on the balance beam. In order to be named to the first team, you need to be in the top five from your session to qualify for finals and second team are the alternates for finals. Also, Assistant Coach Isabella Antonangeli was named the WCGNIC Assistant Coach of the Year after being named the GEC Assistant Coach of the Year in March. 

Allen was named a First Team All-American on the floor after scoring a 9.850 to win her session of the WCGNIC Semifinals day and tied for second overall across the two sessions. During today's finals session, she finished seventh scoring a 9.8125. At the Gymnastics East Conference Championships, she scored a 9.825 to tie for fourth be the only Owl to medal in the competition. This season, she has scored a 9.800 or above on the floor six different times. So far in her career, Allen is a 2025 WCGNIC First Team All-American (floor), 2024 USAG First Team All-American (floor), 2024 USAG National Qualifier (floor, vault, beam), 2025 GEC Championships Medalist (fourth on floor), 2023 All-GEC First Team honoree (floor), 2024 All-GEC Second Team honoree (floor), a WCGNIC Scholar Athlete and a four-time GEC Scholar Athlete. 

Beyer scored a 9.800 on the floor which was a four-way tie for second and was then named a First Team All-American. In today's finals session, she tied for fifth scoring a 9.8250. She has competed on the floor in every meet this season for the Owls scoring a 9.750 or better seven times. In her career, she has been named a 2025 WCGNIC First Team All-American (floor), 2025 WCGNIC Medalist (fifth on floor), 2024 USAG Second Team All-American (floor), 2024 USAG National Qualifier (floor), a WCGNIC Scholar Athlete, and a four-time GEC Scholar Athlete. 

Dinisoe was named an All-American First Team member after tying for fourth and scoring a 9.775 on the balance beam. Today, she finished third overall on the beam scoring a 9.8125. This season, she has been one of the top and most consistent performers for the Owls on the beam. As a sophomore, she has been named a 2025 WCGNIC First Team All-American (beam), 2025 WCGNIC Medalist (third on beam), 2024 USAG National Qualifier (bars, beam) and is a GEC Scholar Athlete. Dinisoe is also a dual-sport athlete at Southern Connecticut where she competes on the the outdoor track and field team. Last season, she placed second in pole vault at the Northeast-10 Conference Championships. 

Royer was named a Second Team All-American after finishing sixth with a 9.775. This season she has been one of the top floor performers, along with Allen and Beyer, scoring a 9.700 or above in six different meets. So far in her career she is a 2025 WCGNIC Second Team All-American (floor), 2023 All-GEC Second Team honoree (floor), a WCGNIC Scholar Athlete, and a three-time GEC Scholar Athlete. 

Zebdi tied for sixth on the beam with a score of 9.750, which beat her previous personal best from 2022, to earn herself Second Team All-American honors. This season, she stepped up when her team needed her to compete on the beam and had only competed it three times before the WCGNIC Semifinal Day. In her career, she is a 2025 WCGNIC Second Team All-American (beam), 2024 USAG National Individual Qualifier (floor), 2022 USAG National Individual Qualifier (floor, vault), 2022 All-GEC First Team (floor, vault), 2023 All-GEC Second Team (floor, vault), a WCGNIC Scholar Athlete, and is a four-time GEC Scholar-Athlete.
