New Haven, CT - Southern Connecticut State University Gymnastics head coach Corrinne Tarver has announced the hiring of DeAvera Todd and Alonna Kratzer as assistant coaches for the Owls ahead of the 2025-26 season.

"We are thrilled to welcome DeAvera and Alonna to our coaching staff," Tarver said. "Both coaches bring a unique set of skills and experiences that will help take our program to the next level. We look forward to seeing the impact they will have on our student-athletes."

DeAvera Todd brings a wealth of experience as a former Division I athlete, international coach, choreographer, and clinician. A trailblazer in her own right, Todd was the first gymnast in DeKalb County Schools to win an all-around title and went on to found Elite Talent Academy, where she specializes in coaching athletes with a focus on technical excellence, performance quality, and personal growth.

Alonna Kratzer joins the Owls coaching staff after a successful competitive career as a Junior and Senior International Elite gymnast. Kratzer competed at top national and international meets and earned multiple academic honors as a student-athlete at the University of Missouri, including SEC Academic Honor Roll and WCGA Scholastic All-American.
