MANSFIELD, Mass. - Southern Connecticut women's basketball standout
Katie Williamson was named to the Northeast-10 Conference Academic All-Conference Team for the 2024-25 season, as announced by the NE10 on Thursday, April 10. This is the first NE10 Academic All-Conference honor for Williamson in her career.
Katie Williamson had an impressive season for the Owls, as she was ranked fifth in the NE10 in scoring with an average of 14.9 points per game, was ranked third in the NE10 with an 84% percentage from the free-throw line and was ranked fourth in blocks with 29. Williamson etched her name into the SCSU Women's Basketball record book this season, starting on Dec. 22, 2024, when she scored her 1,000
th point in a fourth-quarter double-digit deficit comeback victory against Molloy. She is the 25
th player in SCSU Women's Basketball history to score 1,000 points. On Feb. 11, 2025, she recorded her 118th block which put her second-all-time in blocks in program history.
Katie Williamson became the first player in program history to score 1,000 points, record 100 blocks and record 100 steals during her career. Williamson was named to the NE10 All-Conference Second Team for the second time in her career. In the classroom, Williamson holds a 4.00 GPA while pursuing a graduate degree in Master's in Sport and Entertainment Management also she also held a 3.68 GPA while completing a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and Liberal Studies in 2024. Williamson was also named to the CSC Academic All-District Team on March 25, 2025, for the second time in her career.
