Nadia Cestari, Rachel Miller Named To CSC Softball Academic All-District Team

Southern Connecticut softball standouts Nadia Cestari and Rachel Miller were named to the 2025 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Softball team, as announced by the CSC on May 28, 2025. The honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes softball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Miller received the second CSC Academic All-District honor of her career after being named to the 2023 team. Miller posted a 4.00 GPA during the Spring semester and carries a 3.745 cumulative GPA while pursuing her master's degree in School Health Education. On the field, Miller batted .295 (36-122) with a home run, 17 RBI and 16 runs scored and also had a team-best 12-game hitting streak. 

Cestari, a junior, also posted a 4.00 GPA for the semester carries a 3.75 GPA. She is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Communications, Media & Screen Studies. Cestari started 29 games for the Owls while hitting .213 (17-80) with three home runs, nine RBI and 11 runs scored.
