SCSU Women's Cross Country Sweeps NE10 Weekly Awards

Southern Connecticut Women's Cross Country swept the Northeast 10 Conference weekly awards for the second straight week. Courtney Henchcliffe received her second straight NE10 Runner of the Week honor, and Rae Geddes was named NE10 Rookie of the Week for the second time.

Henchcliffe paced the Owls in their second race of the season, placing 35th out of 275 runners at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational. Her time of 22:33.19 helped Southern to finish 13th out of 36 DI, DII, and DIII programs.

In her second collegiate race, Owls' freshman Rae Geddes finished in 118th out of 275 runners at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational, crossing the finish line with a time of 24:17.38, also helping the Owls to a 13th-place finish among 36 teams.

Henchcliffe, Geddes, and the Owls return to the course on Friday, October 3rd when they compete at the Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pennsylania.
